17th edition of the TV program “NEFACT” entitled: “THE COLD WAR AND BUNKER 42”
“The main theme of this issue was the Cold War, the long-standing confrontation between the United States and the Soviet Union. The presenter, Andrei Burkovsky, spoke about the reasons for the confrontation, and also analyzed the likelihood of a nuclear war in the modern world. Bunker 42 on Taganka, one of the most impressive declassified objects of the Soviet era, became a kind of map of our narrative. Its history, starting with construction, is inextricably linked with the Cold War and the creation of nuclear weapons. In fact, it is one of the first bunkers capable of withstanding the impact of an atomic bomb.
