New exhibit

Exactly 58 years over, on August 30, 1963, a special "hot line" of communication was laid between Moscow and Washington to reduce the risk of an accidental nuclear war. This was an important step towards defusing tensions between the USSR and the United States. In our museum there is a new exhibit - the telegraph apparatus RFT T 63 produced by the GDR, which was used, among other things, to establish encrypted communication between Moscow and Washington. It is also known for certain that it was with the help of the apparatus of this model that NS Khrushchev negotiated with Kennedy during the Caribbean Crisis.
